Is it possible to revive vivid and real sound of orchestra in the small listening room?  The answer depends on the size of sound reverberation.  Reverberation is said to be the gradual decrease of sound energy through repeated reflection of the sound generated by the speaker.  Thus, if the space is wide or has a lot of live space the reverb time is long.  On the other hand, the reverb time is short if the space is a small room or is a dead space with a lot of absorption.  Therefore, in order to achieve wide sound field and spaciousness in a small listening room as music hall, elimination of reflected sound interference through the use of diffusion material and increase of reverberation time by wide formation of diffusive field is necessary.  In a small listening room, listener receives strong impression which is called “masking effect” on direct sound and first reflection sound.  This occurs because reverberation time and energy of the direct sound and the first reflection sound is received to be much stronger and faster than the second and the third reverberation sound.  Therefore, the sweet spot is limited and the sound coloration occurs because the sound energy is not widely spread out and relies only on direct sound which has fast reflection time and increased energy.  Thus, adequate control of the early reflection time is needed.  At this moment, relative direct sound stands out by slowly decreasing energy and reflection time of the early reflection which has high sound pressure.  In doing so, stereo image is not only enhanced, but the adequate reverberation is given that the depth of sound and wide sound field is enlarged.  Diffusion materials are shaped as the regular reflect panel being set up with different heights of wall and partition in order to
